Note to Merchants: In compliance with Shopify's 2026 AI requirements, Yikfy explicitly states that we do not use your merchant or customer data to train AI models. All AI-generated content is subject to your final human review before publication.

1. Introduction

Yikfy ("we", "our", or "us") provides a Shopify application designed to help merchants optimize their product data through artificial intelligence. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

2. Personal Information the App Collects

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account:

Shop Information: Shop name, email address, physical address, and myshopify.com domain.
Product Information: Titles, descriptions, variants, images, and metafields. This data is the input for our AI optimization features.
Plan & Subscription Data: Details of your billing plan via Shopify's Billing API.

Note on Customer Data: Yikfy does not collect, store, or process any Personal Identifiable Information (PII) of your end-customers.

3. Artificial Intelligence Disclosure (2026 Standards)

The App uses Artificial Intelligence to generate and optimize content. We adhere to the following strict principles:

No AI Model Training: We do not use your Merchant Data or Product Data to train, retrain, or improve base AI models.
Human in the Loop: All content generated by our AI is presented for your manual review. You are the final editor. No content is published to your live store without your explicit approval.
AI Accuracy: AI-generated content can occasionally be inaccurate. Merchants are responsible for verifying the correctness of all generated descriptions and SEO data before publishing.
Image Sourcing & Copyright: When using the "Image Sourcing" feature, Yikfy acts strictly as a search tool. The Merchant must manually provide and authorize the specific websites from which they are legally entitled to source content. The Merchant is solely responsible for ensuring they have the necessary rights and licenses for any image selected and published through the App. Yikfy does not provide, verify, or grant licenses for sourced images.

4. Data Processing & Third Parties

We share relevant Product Data (titles, descriptions) with authorized AI processors (OpenAI and Google Gemini). This data is processed through secure APIs and is strictly not used for model training under our enterprise agreements.

5. Your Rights & Data Autonomy

You have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that it be corrected, updated, or deleted. Since your data is synchronized from Shopify, you can also manage these rights directly within your Shopify Admin.
